Man vs. God

Those who live according to the sinful nature have their minds set on what that nature desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. The mind of sinful man is death, but the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace; the sinful mind is hostile to God. It does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so. Those controlled by the sinful nature  cannot please God.

Romans 8: 5-8

Can it be said any other way? I have heard many say… I may not be a Christian, but I still do good things. I may not believe, but we all are trying to accomplish the same thing.

It is not true. I live for a God. My works have no value in themselves. If God didn’t show up, then I glorified myself AND I used my own ability. But when our motives seek to please God,. then we have arrived with power. My hand can only stretch so far. My feet will stumble.. My words…. can only be announced to certain people. But when we talk about God…. His hand stretched down to earth, specifically the rib of a man. His feet…. His feet have walked on water. His words? Well Isaiah can explain that part…

So is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. (Isaiah 55:11)

Therefore, I can conclude. God alone is great. Man? Man is only but a breath of air. His works are filthy rags. His name is unheard of.

Man vs. God cannot exist.

God always wins.

The battle is as such..

Man vs. The Evil One.
